Drink More Water
Simple ways to be happier…drink more water.
I know everyone says it.
I know we’re tired of hearing it.
I know if you’re like me you start trying to drink water and you can’t stand to go into the bathroom 12 times a day. I get it.
But listen here’s the thing,
if you’re thirsty you’re already extremely dehydrated.
Now, they say you need a gallon, that’s 128 Oz! That’s 16 glasses or 8 regular-sized water bottles. That’s A LOT!
Start by drinking 64 ounces a day. And yeah, If you start doing that you’re going to pee like 12 times a day…
for the first two weeks.
Give It 2 weeks.
Stay consistent.
And at the end of that 2 weeks, your body will start regulating itself.
It will start getting used to that amount of water. It will start retaining that water and start hydrating you!
And when you are more hydrated,
you feel better,
you sleep better,
you exercise better,
and you find yourself in a better mood.
Especially when it comes to things that agitate you. When you are properly hydrated, you start to find that they don’t agitate you quite as much (though let’s get real…they’ll probably still grate on your nerves. It’s just water, after all, not miracle happy juice).
Hydration should probably be Step One in Simple Ways to be Happier because it affects everything else.
So drink more water
and you will see yourself living a happier life.
