Simple ways to be happier…Meditate.
Meditation is a big word with a lot of misunderstandings surrounding it.
Basically, everybody uses it but nobody knows what it means.
Now, when I say “meditate” I’m not saying you have to go sit by a mountain somewhere, cross your legs and arms, and be one with the universe.
All that meditation is is slowing down your brain for five minutes okay
Meditation is sitting in your favorite chair and not thinking about anything. Meditation is just paying attention to your breath, or to the sound of the birds chirping outside, or a light instrumental soundtrack.
Whatever it is that you’re doing while you meditate, the point is to just be there. It’s a time dedicated to getting rid of all the to-do lists,
all the worries and concerns of your life,
all the things that are running through our brains constantly
and just being there
with no expectations and no obligations on you
for 5 minutes
if you do that a few times a week every week you will see yourself being calmer,
more patient,
in a better mood
and you’ll eventually start living a happier life
